Think of a homepage as your chance to turn one-time site visitors into loyal customers.
If you checked our e-commerce WordPress themes, you probably saw that most of them have gigantic sliders on the homepages. By adding the sliders, we wanted to allow you to focus your visitors’ attention on the essential element(s) on your site 一 a new sale, a seasonal discount, a new collection sneak peek, a list of top-rated products, etc. Anything you want users to check out or buy.
Below the slider, we made sure to add a grid layout that features some of your products in columns. All you need to do is decide which products you want to put in there. Bestsellers? The ones that are on sale? The most popular ones? You decide.
Bonus tip: Bear in mind that a bit over one-third of visitors clicks on the company’s logo in hopes of reaching the homepage, so don’t skip adding this functionality to your website.
Super bonus tip: Be sure to add a “sign up for our newsletter” pop-up form on the homepage for the first-time visitors. Using this functionality, you can offer users xy% off your products if they decide to leave their email addresses. To do so, all you need to do is follow this Mailchimp guide.
