If you checked out several demos of our e-commerce themes, and played around with them, you probably noticed something quite interesting. Once you added a demo product to the shopping bag, you weren’t taken to the cart page. Instead, a message popped up on the screen, notifying you that you added a product to the bag. If you wanted to proceed to checkout, you had to click on the Cart icon, view the product that’s in the “bag” and move on from there.
Believe it or not, there is a reason why you shouldn’t lead users to the shopping cart page: if you do that, you are going to interrupt and possibly, put an end to their shopping process. And we know you don’t want to decrease your sales. So, just take our advice and put a pop message on the screen every time users add products to their carts.
Bonus tip: Users love a clean, “it took me less than a minute to order the product” experience. They love ordering products without having to register their accounts, so be sure to enable guest checkout. To do so, all you need to do is log in to your WordPress admin panel, navigate to the WooCommerce section, click on Settings, and choose the Checkout option. Check the box Enable guest checkout, and you’re all set 一 no user will have to go through the extra steps to buy your products.
