Have you ever thought about changing your WordPress theme name? The process is quick and easy to complete, and you can change a WordPress theme name into any name you want.

Note: Changing a theme’s name can have an effect on your theme’s performance and looksーsome of the theme’s features may be changed, such as fonts, page’s layouts, etc. It all depends on how the theme’s code has been written and how the theme name is used throughout the code.

Here are the ten quick steps you need to go through to change a WordPress theme name:

1. Log in to the WordPress Admin panel (WordPress Dashboard).
2. Navigate to the Appearance → Themes.
3. Deactivate the current theme you are using.
4. Activate any other WordPress theme. To do so, click on the Activate button on the block.
5. Access your server using an FTP client or your hosting server cPanel file manager.
6. Navigate to the wp-content/themes folder and rename the folder which contains your theme name, to the name you wish.
7. Return to the WordPress Admin panel and navigate to the Appearance → Editor subtab.
8. Select the theme whose name you want to edit and click on the Select button.
9. Open the style.css file and change Theme Name to your custom theme name. Don’t forget to save changes.
10. Navigate to Appearance → Themes tab to activate your theme.
