It’s been a couple of months since we posted our last article, hasn’t it?
We must say we missed writing on our blog and engaging with you guys.
The good news is that we are back and better than ever.
Now, Themes Kingdom team knows that we owe you an explanation on where we’ve been, why there are no new themes in our vault, and what has been going on in the past few months. So, here’s everything that happened in the past 12 months.
A March surprise
The year 2019 started pretty fantastically. We were determined to release a new theme by the beginning of March, and we got to work.
The hard work paid off, and on 12th March, we released Bottega, an animation-filled, responsive, and fully customizable portfolio theme perfect for digital studios and agencies.
Bottega was seen, known, and loved by many users. We believe that Bottega’s popularity comes from its non-standard layout and stunningly designed Project pages that are anything but plain and boring.
Fun fact: The term “bottega” is an Italian word used for a studio that gathers master artists and their apprentices. In bottega, apprentices are given the opportunity to learn from the Master by creating art and participating in the work.
At a crossroads in April
In April, things got real. Themes Kingdom team found itself at a crossroads.
We had two options 一 to keep up the pace and release new themes every 2 months or so, or do a rebranding, that is, to build an entirely new Themes Kingdom website, with a bunch of updated and redesigned WordPress themes, and even better pricing plans.
We debated and concluded that the whole team was more than willing to go the extra mile 一 we were eager to create a website and update our current products’ designs and reliability.
So, we set up goals.
Our ultimate goal was to have an up and running Themes Kingdom website (with a special upgrade to our shop), with dozens of updated themes by the end of 2019.
Creating the new website and themes designs in May
In May, we buckled down. We started designing the new website, and begin working on making the themes even easier on the eyes and more functional.
Our designers were sketching at full speed, and the developers slowly but surely began coding.
Everything was going as planned.
Speeding up the pace since October
Some of our users noticed that we haven’t been active on social media as much ever since October, all the way to December.
The reason why is that we took some time to focus on what mattered the most 一 we needed time to update properly our themes (both premium and free ones).
You have no idea how many questions we got about Themes Kingdom. Every time someone asked about new themes, we had to bite our tongues so we wouldn’t spoil the surprise.
Now, the end of the year is right around the corner…
… and we celebrated our 8th birthday on December 20th, believe it or not.
Additionally, we are more than proud to announce that we are launching the new TK site with exciting, improved themes on Thursday, 26th December 2019. 🙂 So, be sure to stay tuned! We can’t wait for you to take a look at all the magnificent WordPress themes we’ve enhanced, and introduce you to new pricing plans and services.
